Kik Peak is a significant elevation in the Bjelasica mountain range, located in central-northern Montenegro. Standing at an altitude of approximately 1573 meters, it has a strategic vantage point over the gentler, forested slopes of Bjelasica, which stand in stark contrast to the barren karst peaks found elsewhere in the country. Geologically, Kik is of volcanic origin, a trait typical for this specific range that results in a more abundant water supply and more fertile soils. Historically, the peak served as a landmark for travelers and shepherds moving between the towns of Kolašin and Mojkovac. The area surrounding the peak is characterized by dense old-growth forests, notably within the Biogradska Gora National Park, one of Europe's last three large virgin forests. In winter, the region is a hub for skiing, while in summer it attracts hikers with its smooth ridges and numerous small glacial lakes. The biodiversity on Kik is noteworthy, as many plants thrive on the mineral-rich volcanic soils found there.
