Kapa Moracka is a spectacular high mountain massif in central Montenegro, part of the Moracka Mountains, forming a dramatic alpine landscape. Its highest peak, Lastva, reaches an impressive elevation of 2226 meters and provides one of the most spectacular views in the country. Geologically, the area is characterized by massive limestone, deeply fragmented by glacial processes and the power of water, which led to the creation of the famous Moraca Canyon at its foothills. The Moraca River originates in the immediate vicinity of the massif, carving its way through some of Europe's deepest canyons. Vegetation is sparse in the upper elevations, consisting of specialized alpine grasses, while the lower valleys are covered by dense virgin forests. Due to its difficult accessibility, Kapa Moracka is a sanctuary for rare wildlife and a secret spot for experienced mountaineers seeking solitude. Historically, the region was a natural fortress against invaders and a site of resistance for local clans. The weather here can be extremely volatile, with sudden snowstorms not uncommon even in summer.
