Limbe Seaport (Cameroon)

Weather…

Limbe Seaport, formerly Victoria, is located in the Southwest Region of Cameroon at the foot of Mount Cameroon. It is historically significant as one of the country's oldest ports, serving as an important base during the colonial era. Geographically, Limbe benefits from a natural deep-water bay protected by the Ambas Islands. The port plays a central role in the local economy, particularly through the export of agricultural products such as bananas, rubber, and palm oil from the surrounding plantations of the Cameroon Development Corporation (CDC). Additionally, Limbe is home to the country's only oil refinery (SONARA), giving the port strategic importance for energy supply. In recent years, plans for the modernization and expansion of the port have been advanced to develop it into a modern deep-sea commercial hub.
