Bimal Brčko Factory (Bosnia and Herzegovina)

Weather…

The Bimal edible oil factory in Brčko is an indispensable pillar of the country's agri-food economy and the only facility of its kind in all of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Since its successful privatization in 2002 by the Austrian STUDEN Group and associated investors, the plant has evolved from a local producer into one of the leading processors of oilseeds in the entire Western Balkans. The strategic location right at the international river port on the Sava allows Bimal to efficiently import raw materials such as sunflower seeds, rapeseed, and soybeans by ship and to export the finished oils all over the world. The factory operates the entire production cycle on-site, from pressing and extraction to refining and bottling, and, in addition to edible oil, also supplies valuable protein meals for the regional animal feed industry.
