Stolin, located in the heart of the Belarusian Polesie region along the Horyn River, is a historical center first documented in 1555. The town's development was profoundly influenced by the Radziwill family, who established the expansive Mankovichi Park at the end of the 19th century. Spanning 30 hectares, this landscape park remains a testament to the region's aristocratic past and is home to numerous rare tree species. Historically, Stolin was characterized by its lively Jewish community, which played a central role in the town's commerce and social fabric until World War II. The local architecture showcases a mix of traditional wooden dwellings and early 20th-century masonry. Currently, Stolin serves as the hub of one of the largest agricultural districts in Belarus, renowned for its food processing industry and its proximity to the vast, ecologically unique wetlands of the Pripyat Marshes.
