Silichy is the leading winter sports center in Belarus, located approximately 30 kilometers north of Minsk in a hilly landscape often called the 'Belarusian Switzerland'. Opened in 2005, the resort features nine diverse ski runs of varying difficulty, including dedicated slopes for beginners and children. With a vertical drop of up to 100 meters and a modern snowmaking system, skiing is guaranteed from December to March. A highlight for visitors is night skiing on well-illuminated slopes, which is particularly popular with weekend visitors from the capital. Beyond skiing, Silichy features a large ice rink, sledding runs, and a snowpark for freestylers. In summer, the resort transforms into an active recreation hub with tennis courts, paintball facilities, and karting tracks. On-site accommodation ranges from hotel rooms to cozy wooden cottages. The local dining scene features several restaurants serving hearty Belarusian cuisine, such as Draniki (potato pancakes), first-rate for warming up after sports. The resort is easily accessible via shuttle buses or taxis from Minsk, making it a top choice for day trips.
