Myadzyel is the scenic heart of the Belarusian Lake District, located in the Minsk Region between Lakes Myastro and Batoryno. With roots stretching back to the 14th century, it was once famous for its medieval castle situated on an island in Lake Myadzyel. Today, the town serves as the administrative center for the Narochansky National Park, a protected area renowned for its pristine ecology and therapeutic mineral springs. A key cultural landmark is the 18th-century Carmelite monastery, featuring the Baroque Church of St. Stanislaus. Myadzyel is a premier destination for ecotourism, offering extensive hiking trails and water sports in one of the cleanest environments in Belarus.
