Kosava Castle (Puslowski Palace) (Belarus)

Weather…

The Kosava Palace, frequently referred to as the Puslowski Palace or Kosava Castle, is one of the most romantic and visually impressive noble residences in Belarus. Commissioned in 1838 by the wealthy and influential Puslowski family, the building stands as an absolute masterpiece of Neo-Gothic architecture. Its fairytale-like appearance is defined by its twelve striking castellated towers, which symbolically represent the twelve months of the year, with the four tallest central towers denoting the four seasons. During its golden age, the palace was renowned for its lavish luxury, featuring over 130 uniquely colored and themed rooms. In the chaotic days of World War II, the magnificent structure was deliberately burned down by local partisans to prevent it from being utilized by occupying forces. Following decades of neglect, the palace is currently undergoing a meticulous and extensive restoration to reclaim its former glory.
