The Hryshko National Botanical Garden in Kyiv was established in 1935 and is part of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. Getting there
The garden is located in the Pechersk district of Kyiv and is best reached by metro to Zvirynetska station. From there, bus line 62 or trolleybus 14 lead directly to the main entrance for visitors.

Best season
May is the most spectacular time for a visit, when the famous lilac collection is in full bloom. Spring for magnolias and winter for the greenhouse complexes are also very worthwhile periods for a peaceful visit.

The extensive grounds span steep hills on the banks of the Dnieper River with significant elevation changes. Most main paths are paved, but comfortable walking shoes are essential for covering the long distances.
