Wuling Farm (Taiwan)

Weather…

Wuling Farm is located in the Heping District of Taichung, situated in the heart of Shei-Pa National Park. Established in 1963, the area covers approximately 700 hectares at an elevation ranging from 1,740 to 2,200 meters. Originally planned as a vegetable farm for retired soldiers, it has evolved into a vital center for the conservation of rare species and ecotourism. It is specifically famous for the protection of the Formosan landlocked salmon, a prehistoric glacial relic species found in the Qijiawan Creek. The cool high-altitude climate is handy for growing mountain fruits and flowers, with the cherry blossom season in February attracting tens of thousands of visitors. The farm also serves as a primary base for hikers climbing Xueshan, Taiwan's second-highest peak. Its location within a deep valley provides a unique microclimate and exceptional ecological diversity.
