The city is world-renowned for Hahoe Folk Village, a UNESCO World Heritage site that preserves the architecture and social structure of the Joseon Dynasty. Andong is also the center of the mask dance tradition (Andong Maskdance Festival), which is deeply rooted in local folk culture.
