Radovljica is perched on a natural terrace above the Sava River, located just a few kilometers from Bled and the Julian Alps. The town is famous for its exceptionally well-preserved medieval urban core, centered around Linhart Square (Linhartov trg). The architecture features a blend of Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque styles, most notably the 16th-century Thurn Manor. Radovljica is widely regarded as the capital of Slovenian beekeeping, a heritage showcased in the comprehensive Museum of Apiculture within the manor. Another enduring tradition is the craft of gingerbread making (lect), which has been practiced here since the 18th century. The town is the birthplace of Anton Tomaž Linhart, the father of Slovenian drama and historiography. It also hosts Slovenia's largest annual chocolate festival, attracting thousands of visitors.
