Flotskoe, formerly known as Karan, is situated on a plateau above the spectacular Crimean coast. The village provides a unique blend of rural tranquility and dramatic natural scenery. From the high cliffs, visitors enjoy a vast view over the azure Black Sea and the rugged coastline towards Balaklava. The surroundings are characterized by vineyards and steppe landscapes, great for long walks and hiking. The absolute highlight of the region is Vasili Beach (Васили). This beach is renowned for its crystal-clear water and the majestic rock formations that surround it. Access to the beach is via a staircase or by boat from Balaklava, giving it an exclusive and somewhat secluded atmosphere. The combination of light pebbles and deep blue water is reminiscent of the most beautiful coves in the Mediterranean. Historically, the region is closely linked to the military history of Sevastopol, reflected in the nearby ruins and fortifications. Flotskoe itself is a peaceful place where one can experience authentic life away from the major holiday resorts. Access from Sevastopol is possible in a short time, making the village a well-suited destination for day trips focusing on nature and relaxation.
