Przymorze Małe is a residential district in Gdańsk, largely built in the post-war era and a classic example of communist-era architecture. It is most famous for its 'falowce' (plural of falowiec), which are huge, wave-like apartment blocks. The longest of these blocks is about 860 meters long and an iconic example of modernist urban planning. While it's mainly a residential area, its appeal lies in its proximity to the sea and green spaces. The sandy beach at Jelitkowo is just a short walk or bike ride away. The adjacent Ronald Reagan Park is one of the largest parks in Gdańsk, offering locals and tourists vast lawns, ponds, playgrounds, and a network of bike and walking paths that stretch along the coast towards Sopot. The district is well-connected to Gdańsk's city center, with frequent tram and bus services making it easy to access the historical attractions of the Old Town. For food, you can find local bakeries and restaurants serving Polish cuisine, including fresh fish from the Baltic Sea. The best time to visit is during the summer to fully enjoy the beach and parks.
