Krishnasar Conservation Area is located in western Nepal in Bardiya District. It was established in 2009 and covers an area of about 16.95 square kilometers. The protected area focuses on the conservation of the critically endangered blackbuck (Antilope cervicapra), locally called Krishnasar, and its grassland and forest habitat. The landscape consists of alluvial plains with rivers and grassland. The area also hosts other species such as wild boar, nilgai, axis deer, and various birds. The conservation area is managed by the Department of National Parks and Wildlife Conservation in collaboration with local communities. Visitors can observe the antelopes from viewing points. Krishnasar is the only protected area in Nepal specifically established for this antelope species. It contributes to biodiversity conservation in the Terai region.
