Royal Palace of Marrakech

The Royal Palace of Marrakech, also known as Dar al-Makhzen, is a vast residential complex with origins tracing back to the Almohad dynasty in the 12th century. Located within the Kasbah district in the southern part of the Medina, it continues to serve as one of the official residences of the King of Morocco today. Over the centuries, the palace has been expanded and lavishly decorated by successive dynasties, most notably the Saadians and the Alaouites.
