Setti Fatma
Setti Fatma is the final village in the Ourika Valley and a beloved day-trip destination from Marrakesh. Its main draw is the series of seven waterfalls cascading down the rocky cliffs above the town. The hike to the first waterfall is relatively easy, while reaching the higher ones requires a bit more scramble and sturdy shoes. The village sits along the Ourika River, where local restaurants famously place their tables and chairs directly into the shallow river water. This allows diners to enjoy a traditional tajine while cooling their feet in the stream. The atmosphere is lively, especially on weekends when locals join tourists in escaping the city heat. Located about 1.5 hours from Marrakesh, it's an easy escape into the High Atlas landscape. The best time to visit is spring or early summer when the waterfalls are most powerful. It’s a wonderful place to experience Berber hospitality and the refreshing mountain climate.
