Aglou is a peaceful coastal village situated in the Souss-Massa region of southern Morocco, serving as the seaside extension of the historic city of Tiznit. Far from the bustling tourist hubs, Aglou provides a serene and authentic coastal experience. The area is characterized by its wild, untamed Atlantic beauty, traditional cave dwellings carved into the cliffs by local fishermen, and an incredibly relaxed pace of life. The primary attraction here is the expansive Aglou Plage (شاطئ أغلو) and the neighboring stretches of شاطئ أغلو. This magnificent and wild beach is known for its dramatic waves, making it a lesser-known spot for surfers and nature lovers. While the ocean currents can be strong, the beach is great for long, contemplative walks, sunbathing, and watching spectacular sunsets over the sea. Local gastronomy centers heavily on the daily catch, with small seaside eateries serving freshly grilled fish and Moroccan tea. Aglou is easily reachable by a short, scenic drive from Tiznit.
