💡 Tips
- The entrance ticket often includes a short boat ride in the bay (weather permitting) and access to water trampolines.
- Wear sensible shoes, as the wooden walkways, steps, and paths around the film set can be quite uneven.
- If you prefer not to pay the entrance fee, the cliff edge directly opposite the village gives the best free photo spot.
- Summer visits include use of the sunbeds and sea access at the lido, so make sure to pack your swimsuit.

Popeye Village, also known as Sweethaven Village, was purpose-built in 1979 as the film set for the live-action musical production starring Robin Williams. Located in the secluded Anchor Bay, the village consists of 19 authentic, colorful wooden buildings designed to look like a rustic fishing village. After filming concluded, the set was preserved and turned into an open-air museum and theme park. Visitors can wander through the original cottages, watch film screenings, and enjoy interactive shows with characters like Popeye and Olive Oyl. During the summer, the bay features water trampolines and boat trips that offer a unique view of the village from the sea. Its striking visual appeal against the rugged limestone cliffs makes it a favorite spot for photography. The park also hosts seasonal events, including a magical transformation during the Christmas period into a festive winter wonderland.
