Cirkewwa Ferry Terminal (Malta)

Weather…

Cirkewwa Ferry Terminal is situated at the northernmost tip of Malta and serves as the essential maritime link to the sister island of Gozo. It is the departure point for the Gozo Channel Company's vehicle ferries and seasonal passenger services to the island of Comino. Between 2010 and 2013, the terminal underwent a comprehensive €10 million redevelopment project, resulting in a state-of-the-art passenger complex with elevated walkways for direct boarding. This modernization was necessary to accommodate the steady growth in traffic, which now exceeds five million passengers and two million vehicles annually. Beyond its transportation role, Cirkewwa is a world-class diving destination, famous for shore dives to the wrecks of the MV Rozi tugboat and the P29 patrol boat. A prominent lighthouse marks the tip of the quay, assisting navigation through the Comino Channel. The area is also a major bus terminus, providing direct connections from the harbour to various parts of the main island.
