The entrance is located just off the Dead Sea Highway, south of Wadi Mujib; look for a small sign or parked cars near the bridge that spans the wadi's exit toward the Dead Sea.

Best visited during the dry spring and autumn months; never enter the wadi during the rainy season or if clouds are gathering nearby, as the narrow canyon walls offer no escape from flash floods.

The path leads through an incredibly narrow sandstone gorge with knee-deep water in several sections; the ground is mostly sandy or covered with smooth river stones that can be slippery.
