Bani Na'im is a historic town situated on a high ridge about eight kilometers east of Hebron, standing at an elevation of approximately 950 meters. Its lofty location grants it some of the most commanding views in the region, overlooking the rugged Judean Desert and extending to the Dead Sea and the mountains of Jordan on the horizon. The town is profoundly significant in religious tradition as it is the site of the Tomb of Lot (Lut), making it a venerable destination for pilgrims. Bani Na'im earned the honorary title 'City of Martyrs' in recognition of the bravery of its citizens during the 1936 Arab Revolt. Today, the town's economy is anchored by a thriving stone quarrying industry, producing the famous Palestinian limestone used in construction projects globally. Visitors can experience a blend of ancient heritage, including Byzantine-era ruins, and a modern community that takes great pride in its historical role and its sweeping natural surroundings characterized by terraced hills and olive groves.
