Getting there
Located directly on the shores of the beautiful Väike Viik bay in Haapsalu, the entire park is extremely easy and very quick to access completely on foot straight from the town center and all nearby streets.
Best season
Summer is definitely especially popular for lovely waterside walks, although the fully frozen ice conditions in deep winter constantly offer a completely unique, exceptionally beautiful coastal experience.
Terrain & paths
The park gives completely flat, even paths that closely follow the entire shoreline, making it an exceptionally easy and fully accessible continuous walk for regular visitors of absolutely all ages.
What to bring
Comfortable walking shoes are entirely well-suited, and bringing a light windbreaker is highly recommended, as the steady breezes coming directly off the large bay can often be surprisingly cool and quite brisk.
Parking
Visitors can typically easily find convenient street parking along the adjacent town roads right in Haapsalu, conveniently located just a very short, completely effortless walk from the beautiful water's edge.
Safety
Safe and well maintained urban park environment. Constant caution is strongly advised right near the unguarded water's edge, particularly if you are actively visiting alongside very energetic, running small children.
Time needed
A leisurely, completely uninterrupted stroll directly along the water and peacefully enjoying the beautiful views across the entire bay typically takes anywhere from about thirty minutes to one fully relaxing, quiet hour.
