In Jablonné, the baroque Basilica of St. Lawrence and St. Zdislava, designed by the famous architect Johann Lucas von Hildebrandt, dominates the town. Extensive catacombs are located beneath the church. Just a few kilometers away is Sloup, famous for its medieval rock castle, entirely carved into a 33-meter-high, freestanding sandstone monolith. Visitors can explore the stone-carved rooms, chapels, and stairs, which were later also used by hermits. From the top of the castle, there is a fantastic panoramic view of the surrounding forests. The area is an excellent starting point for hikes through the sandstone formations of the Lusatian Mountains. Natural swimming spots, such as the Radvanecký pond in Sloup, invite swimming and relaxation in summer, making the region particularly attractive for families.
