Traditional music and entertainment day organised by the city of Most, with concerts, performances and a programme for the whole family.
Most, a significant city in Northwest Bohemia, possesses one of the most remarkable urban histories in Europe. In the 1960s, due to vast brown coal deposits lying beneath its foundations, the decision was made to demolish the entire historic old town to make way for surface mining. A singular architectural miracle was preserved: the Gothic Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, which was moved 841 meters on rails in 1975 to save it from destruction. The modern city of Most was subsequently built nearby, characterized by functionalist architecture, wide boulevards, and extensive green spaces. High above the city stands Hněvín Castle, a reconstructed fortress that serves as a popular lookout point and cultural center. In recent decades, Most has undergone a massive environmental transformation, with former mining sites being successfully converted into recreational areas, such as Lake Most. Today, the city is a regional hub for sports, well-known for its professional motor racing circuit, the Autodrom Most, and its horse racing complex.
