💡 Tips

  • Cape Planka (Punta Planka) is a must-see; it's the geographical divider of the Adriatic where north and south winds crash.
  • The village is extremely quiet; it's best to rent a car if you want to explore beyond the local bays.
  • Stock up on groceries before arriving, as local shopping options are quite limited.
  • Bring water shoes for the rocky beaches to protect your feet from sea urchins.

Ražanj is a beautiful fishing village located in a deep bay between Šibenik and Split, not far from Rogoznica. It has preserved its authentic Mediterranean charm and is the good place for travelers seeking peace and clean sea. The coastline here is particularly diverse, with many small coves and concrete or rocky beaches known for their exceptionally clear water. The landmark of the region is Cape Planka (Punta Planka), the most protruding part of the eastern Adriatic coast. Here, northern and southern winds meet, often creating spectacular wave displays. On the cape stands the small 14th-century chapel of St. John of Trogir. Divers and snorkelers find Ražanj a paradise, as the underwater world here is exceptionally rich in fish and coral. In the village, small restaurants serve fresh-caught fish and local specialties. As there are no large hotels, tourism is handled individually through private apartments and villas. Hiking trails lead up to Movar Hill, offering a spectacular panoramic view of the Šibenik and Rogoznica archipelago. Those looking for more activity can easily cross over to Rogoznica by taxi-boat.
