Marina is an easy on the eye coastal settlement and municipality center located in the heart of Dalmatia, just 12 kilometers west of the UNESCO-protected town of Trogir. The architectural highlight of the village is the massive square defensive tower, known as the Kula, built between 1495 and 1500 by the Bishops of Trogir to guard the territory against Ottoman invasions. Originally used as a fortified summer residence for the bishops, the tower has been beautifully restored and now functions as a unique hotel. The village is situated in a deep, sheltered bay that provides excellent natural anchorage, hosting the modern Marina Agana with over 130 berths. For centuries, the local economy has been anchored in olive cultivation, and the surrounding slopes are covered with ancient groves producing world-class oil. Marina gives a well-suited blend of historic heritage, tranquil pebble beaches, and authentic Mediterranean charm.
