Jigmeling Industrial Park in Sarpang is a flagship project for Bhutan's vision of modern, clean, and organized industrial development. Spanning a vast area of over 700 acres, it is the largest planned industrial park in the country. It was developed with the aim of attracting a mix of domestic and foreign investments, particularly in green and knowledge-based sectors. Unlike older industrial estates, Jigmeling was planned from the outset with modern infrastructure, including paved roads, reliable power and water supply, and a central waste management system. The park is intended to drive economic diversification, create high-quality jobs, and reduce dependence on a few export commodities. Its development is an important part of the strategy to distribute economic activity across the country.

Visiting
As the park is still under development, public access is currently restricted. Visitors can nonetheless view the site from nearby roads, and some areas may open for guided tours in the future.
Where to view it
The best view of the industrial park is from the main road passing through Sarpang, especially from elevated points along the route. From there, the construction areas and surrounding landscape are clearly visible.
Local products
The park focuses on attracting manufacturing units, so no specific consumer goods are available yet. In the long term, however, light industrial products and renewable energy items may be produced here.
