Mogilev Zoo-Garden (Belarus)

Weather…

The Mogilev Zoo-Garden, officially the zoo of the local agricultural college, has a revolutionary concept of animal husbandry in Belarus. Instead of traditional cages, the animals here live on a massive forest and meadow area of nearly 120 hectares, where their enclosures often blend seamlessly into the natural landscape. The main attraction is the massive bison enclosure, which visitors can explore using a specially constructed narrow-gauge railway, the 'bison safari', to safely observe the massive animals up close in their natural environment. Alongside the bison, the zoo-garden also houses brown bears, wolves, lynxes, reindeer, and exotic animals such as Siberian tigers, with the educational aspect of animal care always at the forefront.
