Masty, picturesquely situated at the confluence of the Neman and Zelvianka rivers in the Grodno Region, is a town most famous for a singular, striking architectural landmark: the longest pedestrian suspension bridge in Belarus. Stretching 192.7 meters across the Neman River, this bridge serves not only as a practical crossing for locals but as the town's primary tourist attraction and most iconic photo opportunity. Historically, Masty began to develop significantly in the early 20th century with the arrival of the railway, but its true economic engine is the massive 'Mastyydrew' woodworking complex, one of the country's largest producers of plywood and wood-based panels. The town's surrounding abundance of forests and waterways also makes it a popular destination for kayakers and nature enthusiasts.
