Pasching is located in the central region of Upper Austria and directly borders the provincial capital Linz. The community has evolved from a rural village into one of the region's most important economic and commercial hubs. Its most defining feature is PlusCity, one of Austria's largest shopping centers, which has brought Pasching supra-regional fame. Geographically, Pasching lies on the fertile Linzer Feld. Despite massive commercial development, the town has preserved parts of its rural character, especially in districts away from the main traffic axes. Historically, Pasching was first mentioned in a document in the 12th century. A significant monument is the Old Parish Church of Saint John the Baptist. The municipality has excellent infrastructure, including proximity to Linz Airport and connections to the Linz local railway and the Linz tram network. Pasching is also an important sports location, known for the Waldstadion, which for years was a venue for top-flight football. The town's dynamism is reflected in a steadily growing population and a modern administrative structure that meets the requirements of an urban suburb.
