Manyava Waterfall (Ukraine)

Weather…

Manyava Waterfall is situated within the Gorgany range of the Ukrainian Carpathians, in the Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast near the village of Manyava. Standing at a height of approximately 18 to 20 meters, it is one of the tallest and most majestic waterfalls in Ukraine. The waters of the Manyavka River plunge over several stone terraces into a deep canyon flanked by steep cliffs and dense primeval forests. The local geology consists primarily of Carpathian flysch, which has been carved by water erosion over millennia. A natural pool at the base of the falls is a popular spot for visitors, and the nearby 17th-century Manyava Skete monastery makes the area a significant cultural and spiritual destination. The site is a protected natural monument within the Manyavka hydrologic reserve.
