Adra Industrial City is Syria's largest and most modern industrial zone, located approximately 35 kilometers northeast of the capital, Damascus. Established in 2002, it was designed to centralize industrial activities outside the metropolitan area and stimulate national economic growth. The zone covers a vast area of 7,000 hectares and hosts hundreds of factories specializing in food processing, chemicals, textiles, and construction materials. Adra features an autonomous infrastructure, including its own power plant, water treatment facilities, and a dedicated customs terminal, making it highly attractive to investors. Throughout the Syrian conflict, Adra remained largely operational due to its strategic significance and high level of security.
