Púchov Rock (Púchovská skala) trails

Beyond its historical significance, the forested trails here offer a serene escape into nature.

Púchov is picturesquely located in the middle Váh valley (Považie), right on the border between the White Carpathians and the Javorníky Mountains in northwestern Slovakia. Historically, the city was characterized by crafts and agriculture and had significant Moravian and Jewish populations. Its modern transformation occurred in the 20th century when it developed into the undisputed center of the Slovak rubber and tire industry, particularly through the massive tire plant (today Continental Matador). Although industrial in character, the city is surrounded by sweeping nature. Its historical landmark is the former county hall, now the seat of the Púchov Museum, which exhibits archaeological finds of the significant local Iron Age "Púchov culture." The nearby Nimnica spa with its mineral springs and the Nosice reservoir make the region an attractive destination for those seeking relaxation.
