Jaguar Land Rover Nitra

The Jaguar Land Rover plant in Nitra is the newest and one of the most technologically advanced automotive factories in Slovakia. With its official opening in October 2018, the country further cemented its position as the global leader in per-capita car production. This state-of-the-art facility was built with an investment of nearly 1.4 billion euros on a massive site and sets new benchmarks in digital manufacturing. It is the only plant in the world that manufactures the robust and legendary Land Rover Defender, complemented by the production of the Land Rover Discovery. A key feature of the site is the extensive use of lightweight aluminum manufacturing technologies, which are applied in one of Europe's largest and most modern body shops. The factory is also a pioneer in Industry 4.0, featuring a high degree of automation, data-driven quality control, and highly energy-efficient production processes.
