Ruhango is a growing town in the Southern Province of Rwanda, located on the main transport artery connecting Kigali to Huye. It serves as the administrative center for the district of the same name. The town's economy is heavily agricultural, particularly through the cultivation and processing of cassava. Ruhango is home to the Kinazi Cassava Plant, one of the largest cassava processing factories in the country, which produces cassava flour for local consumption and export. The town is also an important trading place for other agricultural products from the region. Its strategic location on National Road 3 makes it an important stop for passenger and freight traffic and promotes the steady growth of trade and services.
