💡 Tips
- Tram lines 8 or 9 from the Gdańsk city center will take you directly near the Stogi beach entrance.
- Head right (east) from the main beach entrance to find much quieter and less crowded sections of the sand.
- From the beach, you can get a striking view of the massive cranes of the Deepwater Container Terminal in the distance.
- After a heavy storm, keep an eye on the shoreline-you can often find small pieces of Baltic amber washed up on the sand.
🍽 Food
Try this classic Baltic Sea fish at one of the seasonal beachside fryeries (smażalnia ryb) just behind the dunes.
The beloved Polish open-faced toasted sandwich. You can grab a hot one from the kiosks near the tram loop.
A staple of Polish beach trips. Order a waffle loaded with whipped cream and fresh fruits from the promenade kiosks.
🛍 Shopping · 🧘 Quiet spots
You can find traditional windbreaks (parawan), towels, and beach toys at the stalls lining the main path to the beach.
While Gdańsk's Main Town is better for high-end amber, small stalls near the beach often sell modest amber souvenirs.
A calm, forest-ringed lake located just a short walk from the Stogi tram loop.
Explore the shaded, pine-lined walking trails that run just behind the large sand dunes.
The further you walk along the water towards Górki Zachodnie, the more empty and peaceful the coastline becomes.
