Wiltz Castle (Luxembourg)

Weather…

Wiltz Castle is a magnificent Renaissance structure in the heart of the Luxembourgish Ardennes, with its current form mostly dating back to the 17th century. The original castle of the Counts of Wiltz was destroyed during the 16th-century wars, leading to the construction of the present residence starting in 1573. The castle features a striking external staircase leading into an extensive park, which now serves as the venue for the renowned Wiltz International Festival. Inside the castle, several museums are housed, including the Museum of Brewing Art and a museum dedicated to the Battle of the Bulge. The complex was the site of fierce fighting during World War II and is closely linked to the history of the Luxembourgish resistance. Today, the castle is not only a historical monument but also a spirited cultural center that attracts visitors from all over Europe.
