The original castle of the Counts of Wiltz was destroyed during the 16th-century wars, leading to the construction of the present residence starting in 1573. The castle features a striking external staircase leading into an extensive park, which now serves as the venue for the renowned Wiltz International Festival. Inside the castle, several museums are housed, including the Museum of Brewing Art and a museum dedicated to the Battle of the Bulge.
