Weather…

The Municipal Park of Luxembourg is a green ribbon framing the historic upper city, laid out on the former Glacis fortifications. Designed by the famous landscape architect Édouard André in the late 19th century, the park impresses with its successful combination of an English landscape garden and historic monuments. Visitors find wide vistas, photogenic ponds, and an impressive collection of exotic trees imported from around the world at the time. A special gem within the park is the Villa Vauban, which today houses the municipal art gallery and is surrounded by a particularly well-maintained garden area. The park serves as an important link between various city districts and provides numerous retreats in the middle of urban life. With its playgrounds, monuments, and shaded avenues, it is a draw for tourists and locals in every season. The clever use of old fortress walls as terraced levels gives the park a unique topographical depth.
