The Kirchberg Plateau is a publicly accessible high plateau in the northeast of Luxembourg City. The viewpoints over the Alzette valley and the Neudorf gorge are freely accessible at any time.

As it is an open urban area, there are no visiting hours - the plateau can be visited at any time. Late afternoon is particularly beautiful when the setting sun colours the sandstone rocks golden.

Time needed

The plateau lies directly above Luxembourg's old town, which can be reached in a few minutes by funicular. The 'Sculpture Path' in the Dräi Eechelen park and the 'Mudam' museum are also nearby.
Getting there
The Kirchberg Plateau is accessible by car via Avenue John F. Kennedy (N51), with several car parks available. Public buses lines 1, 16 and 21 go directly to the plateau from the city centre.
