Getting there
The Oxbow region is accessible from Oxbow Lodge via an unpaved road that in the rainy season is only passable with four-wheel drive. From there, several hiking trails lead into the alpine zone.
What to expect
Alpine animals are often shy and well-camouflaged - take time to observe and move slowly. The extreme conditions mean you may need to wait a long time for an animal to appear.
