The Jabal Moussa Biosphere Reserve is located in the Keserwan District of Mount Lebanon and safeguards the eponymous mountain. Covering over 65 square kilometers, the reserve features historical sites from the Roman era, including well-preserved pathways and ancient inscriptions attributed to Emperor Hadrian. Since its recognition by the UNESCO MAB program in 2009, the reserve has successfully intertwined cultural heritage with nature conservation.
