Batken Apricot Orchards

The apricot orchards of the Batken region in southwestern Kyrgyzstan are world-renowned, forming the backbone of the local economy and culture. The region's dry, continental climate combined with intense sunshine provides the excellent conditions for growing apricots with exceptionally high sugar content and intense flavor.
