Weather…

Palazzo Chiericati in Vicenza is a Renaissance masterpiece and one of the most significant works by the architect Andrea Palladio. Designed starting in 1550 for Count Girolamo Chiericati, the building marked a turning point in palace architecture through its integration of loggias into the facade. Palladio used elements of ancient forums to create a monumental yet airy structure that engages with the square in front. The facade is articulated by two superimposed orders, Doric and Ionic, and adorned with statues and intricate stucco work. Due to financial difficulties, the construction was only fully completed in the 17th century. Since 1855, the palace has housed the Musei Civici of Vicenza, a significant art gallery featuring works by artists such as Veronese, Tintoretto, and Tiepolo. As part of the 'City of Vicenza and the Palladian Villas of the Veneto,' the palace has been a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1994.
