Monza, located northeast of Milan, is a city with deep historical roots and international fame in the world of motorsport. It was once a significant residence for the Lombard Queen Theodelinda, who founded the original Monza Cathedral in the 6th century. The cathedral's treasury houses the legendary Iron Crown of Lombardy, which was used for the coronation of numerous monarchs, including Napoleon Bonaparte. Another architectural gem is the Villa Reale, a magnificent 18th-century royal palace built by the Habsburgs. The palace is set within the Parco di Monza, one of the largest walled urban parks in Europe. Located inside this park is the Autodromo Nazionale Monza, one of the world's oldest and fastest racing circuits, which hosts the Formula 1 Italian Grand Prix every year. Today, Monza seamlessly blends royal elegance with a passion for high-speed technology.
