Getting there
The mountain is typically reached from Frontone or Serra Sant’Abbondio. A cable car service often operates from Frontone, taking visitors directly to the higher elevations during the main tourist seasons.
Best season
Hiking is most enjoyable from late spring through early autumn when the weather is stable. In winter, the area becomes a popular spot for skiing and snowshoeing, provided there is sufficient snow cover.
Terrain & paths
You will encounter a mix of grassy meadows on the upper plateaus and rocky limestone paths in the steeper sections. The trails are generally well-defined but require some effort on the ascents.
What to bring
It is highly recommended to wear sturdy hiking boots with good ankle support. Bring a windproof jacket as the summit is often breezy, along with trekking poles to help on the descent.

Visitors can find ample parking space at the base of the cable car in Frontone or in designated lots in the surrounding villages. Small gravel areas are also available at several trailheads.
