Lido degli Estensi is the largest and most touristic of the seven Lidi di Comacchio in the Italian region of Emilia-Romagna. It impresses with its particularly wide, gently sloping sandy beaches and a beautiful pine forest that provides pleasant shade on hot summer days. The center of the town is dominated by Viale Carducci, a wide and lively shopping street with numerous boutiques, ice cream parlors, and restaurants, first-rate for evening strolls. The coastline features a fantastic infrastructure for beach lovers of all ages. Among the many perfectly equipped beach establishments are Bagno Aragosta, Bagno Astra, Bagno Diamond, Bagno Dorian, Bagno Gabbiano, and Bagno Italia. Furthermore, Bagno Jolly, Bagno Maremoto, Bagno Marfisa, Playa Loca, Bagno Miami Beach, and Bagno Onda Blu ensure maximum comfort, entertainment, and an excellent Italian beach culture, from sports facilities to delicious aperitifs. The modern marina, Marina degli Estensi, forms an elegant contrast to the unspoiled nature of the nearby Po Delta. Visitors can take wonderful boat trips here or observe the rich birdlife, including flamingos, in the nearby lagoons of Comacchio. The local gastronomy features fresh seafood dishes and traditional eel specialties, making the town a remarkable culinary highlight.
