Colfelice is a modern municipality in the province of Frosinone, formed in its current state only in 1923 through the merger of the two settlements of Colli and Felice. The community is situated in the fertile Liri plain, near the historic town of Roccasecca, and is characterized by a vast agricultural landscape. Despite its relatively young history as an independent municipality, the area possesses a long agricultural tradition dating back to Roman times. The architecture of Colfelice is predominantly modern, with the Church of San Gaetano in the town center serving as an important religious hub. In the second half of the 20th century, the town experienced economic growth due to its proximity to the A1 motorway (Autostrada del Sole) and the establishment of small industrial enterprises. Nevertheless, Colfelice has maintained its rural character, reflected in numerous farms and the cultivation of grains and corn. Today, the municipality serves as a quiet residential and commercial center in middle Ciociaria. Annual events and local festivals preserve community spirit and the regional culinary traditions of Lazio.
