Jamshidieh Park
Positioned on the steep foothills of the Alborz Mountains, Jamshidieh Park is one of the most distinctive and beautiful stone parks in northern Tehran. Established in 1977, the 10-hectare complex was originally the private estate of Jamshid Davallu Qajar. Designed by renowned Iranian architect Kamran Diba, the park shuns traditional lawns in favor of integrating natural rock formations, rugged stone paths, and artificial cascading waterfalls into the mountainous terrain. Situated at an altitude exceeding 1,800 meters, it has visitors significantly cooler and cleaner air compared to the city center. The park serves as a popular starting point for rigorous hikes towards the 3,350-meter Kolakchal peak. Traditional teahouses and restaurants set among the rocks provide spectacular panoramic views of the sprawling metropolis.
