The Kiskun Museum in Kiskunfélegyháza is one of the most significant ethnographic and local history collections in the Kiskunság region. The museum is housed in a building with a rich history, originally built in the 18th century as the headquarters of the Kiskun Captaincy and later functioning as a prison. The exhibitions showcase the life of the Cumans, their pastoral culture, small crafts, and the history of the city of Félegyháza. The Pajkos-Szabó windmill, built in 1860 and standing in the museum's courtyard, is one of the institution's most spectacular industrial history monuments. The collection also includes valuable archaeological finds from the Migration Period and the Middle Ages. The museum pays special attention to nurturing the memory of the famous writer Ferenc Móra, who was born in the city. In the former prison cells, exhibitions about Puszta justice are now on display. The Kiskun Museum is a living center of tradition preservation, regularly offering thematic programs and museum pedagogical sessions for visitors.
